Features and equipment of the letterbox
The through letterbox with diagonal box shape in stainless steel: DX-042. The diagonal shape of the built-in letterbox in stainless steel creates a larger volume than with a straight box in the wall thickness. A major advantage of the diagonal design is that the mail slides right through to the removal door. The mail items are ready to hand at the removal door.
What distinguishes the DX-042 wall-through letterbox from the D-042 letterbox? The FLAT design of the front panel! The 2 mm thick panel can be installed flush with the wall. This front panel enhances your wall. Due to the very narrow gap around the insertion flap, hardly any water, if any, penetrates into the letterbox during heavy rain. The heavy decorative edge on the underside of the insertion flap creates a pleasant sound when closing. The weight of the decorative edge keeps the flap closed even during storms.
The body of the DX-042 stainless steel pass-through letterbox with FLAT design is made of powder-coated and galvanised sheet steel. The front panel and the removal door are made of solid V2A stainless steel. The stainless steel will withstand the weather for many years.
This type of wall-through letterbox has the great advantage that the postman does not have to enter your property to drop off the mail. The mail is collected from the back of the wall, so you can easily collect your mail from the side of the property.
The depth of the DX-042 pass-through letterbox in stainless steel can be individually adjusted. The body is divided into 2 pieces. By sliding the two pieces in and out, the depth can be adjusted between 33 and 50 cm. The volume therefore varies from 11.6 to 16.5 litres. The two box parts are fixed in place with the aluminium adhesive tape supplied. The volume of the DX-042 pass-through letterbox in FLAT design is sufficient for a single-family household.
The DX-042 pass-through letterbox with FLAT design has an integrated removal protection. Your mail cannot be pulled out by strangers. The hinge side can be moved from right to left with a simple conversion. The door hinges are simply loosened and mounted on the other side.
DIN standard
The DX-042 pass-through letterbox in stainless steel with FLAT design is produced in accordance with the letterbox standard DIN 13724. Large C4 envelopes and catalogues fit easily through the slot and do not protrude from the pass-through letterbox.
Alternative products
For narrower walls we offer the DX-041 with FLAT design. This has a variable depth of 24 to 39 cm.
The D-042 is the cheaper version of the DX-042, which has our standard front panel that is bent over at the sides.
The D-042 wall pass-through letterbox is also available with a speech screen. In this version, any standard intercom system can be installed. You will find variants with 1 to 6 units in our shop.
